I'm Volodymyr. I write books for adults with ADHD, and I have ADHD myself.

That second part is the whole reason this exists. Everything here is written from the inside, not from a clinic and not from a coaching program. If you've ever read ADHD advice that sounded correct but clearly came from someone who has never sat frozen in front of a task they wanted to do, you already know the difference I'm trying to make.

How I found out

I wasn't looking for ADHD. In 2024 I was looking for help with depression.

My psychologist referred me to a specialist who works with depression, ADHD and related conditions. I went in to deal with sleep problems, anxiety and depressive symptoms, and ADHD came up almost as a side note. At first I barely paid attention to it, because the depression felt more urgent.

Then I started reading, and things began to click. Why tiny distractions pull me off course. Why a new interest grips me hard and then bores me just as fast. Why I can work on one thing for six hours and put off another for six weeks.

It didn't cure anything. It explained everything. And it changed the question I'd been asking myself for years, from "what's wrong with me?" to "what conditions do I need?"

What I actually do

I work as a video editor and motion designer. Before that my résumé looked like someone who couldn't make up their mind: waiter, barista, customer support, social media manager, appliance salesman. More than ten jobs before anything fit.

I used to think that list was evidence of a problem with me. Now I think it was data about what my brain needs, collected the slow way.

Alongside that, I write. So far that's three books: ADHD for Adults, How to Monetize Your Ideas When You Have ADHD, and Food as a Game. More than 500 people have bought them.

What you won't find here

Medical advice. I'm not a doctor, a psychiatrist or a dietitian, and nothing I write is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If something in your life needs a professional, it needs a professional. I say so in every book and every article, and I mean it.

A cure. There's no secret trick here that makes ADHD disappear, and no five-step system that turns you into a focused, dependable machine forever.

Invented stories. Every example in my books and articles is something I actually lived or actually observed. I don't make up readers, results, support groups or testimonials to make a point land harder. If I haven't experienced something, I say so.

Shame. No "just try harder," no productivity guilt, no implication that you'd be fine if you wanted it enough. If that worked, most of us wouldn't be here exhausted.

What you will find

An explanation of how the ADHD brain actually works, in plain language. The systems I use for time, money, work, energy, food and relationships, including the ones that failed. Honest timelines, including the boring ones, like the three to four months it took me to make my first sale.

The books are short, the chapters are self-contained, and you can read them in any order or skip around. That's deliberate. Force doesn't work well on an ADHD brain, not even the mental kind.

Where to start

If you're new here, the blog is free and covers most of the same ground in smaller pieces.

If you want the full map, ADHD for Adults: How to Live, Work, and Feel Better is the flagship, twelve chapters across everything from time blindness to shame.

And if a piece of advice I give doesn't work for you, that doesn't make you bad at this. It just means that particular tool isn't yours.
